Teamwork CONNEXT Logo Identity
Putting retail installations on the map.
CLIENT:
Teamwork, a company known to many as a trusted partner in retail installation, produces and installs stunning transformative retail displays and remodels in shops, pop-ups and grocery markets nationwide, captivating thousands of customers. Teamwork CONNEXT is an in-house proprietary web system that allows clients to easily check and review everything about their retail projects, all in one place. Using this system allows teamwork’s clients to always be in the loop with progress updates and quick communication.
OBJECTIVE & IDENTITY
I created this logo during my 2023 summer internship with Willwork Global Event Services, a partner company to Teamwork. Teamwork requested a logo for their CONNEXT system, In preparation for an upcoming retail expo.
Through survey and discussion with employees of teamwork, valuable insight and information was gathered about how the CONNEXT system looks and functions, and what tools it offers to clients. This information was used to build a mind-map that outlines the fundamentals to the identity of CONNEXT.
PROCESS: Sketch
In the stages of early sketches, symbols such as map markers were used to represent the CONNEXT system’s central retail installation map. Symbolism of motion were included to stand for the ever-moving installation process and quick updates provided to the client.
PROCESS: Vector
The prominent color themes of navy, white and orange were carried over from CONNEXT’s pre-existing user interface. As Teamwork heavily uses both serif and sans-serif typefaces in their branding, the typeface “Elizeth” was selected for its unique balance between sans-serif-esque roundness, while also including memorable stylized serifs for the best of both worlds.
OUTCOME:
As I received direct feedback from Teamwork’s employees, five designs were finalized with multiple included color variants for various use-cases. These designs were then pitched to the entire Teamwork crew to decide what would be the final chosen design, where the finalist was selected. The entire office buzzed with excitement for the future of CONNEXT.
